ABOUT US
The Central Illinois Connection moves Central Illinois forward in community and economic growth by fostering collaboration and connectedness between our small towns. Involving youth, retirees, and other adults, it creates a vibrancy to act as the catalyst to ignite this growth and once again stimulate home-town pride and ownership in our rural communities.
This ongoing “connected-ness” initiative builds excitement, promotes teamwork, and sparks innovation, drive, and enthusiasm to produce a sustainable culture which sets our small communities apart as the best place in the world to reside, work, visit, and enjoy wholesome family living.

The Connection Center – Outside
We transformed an old building in downtown Chatsworth into a community center! The Central Illinois Connection Center was built to connect rural communities by bringing together youth, senior citizens, businesses, agriculture, attractions, history, and more. The center is free to the public and has a wide range of fun activities for both children and adults. You’ll also learn about Central Illinois history and local attractions. Displays are everywhere you look–from the walls to the ceiling, and even on the floor! Take a closer look at the wallpaper and you’ll notice it’s actually a collage of county names and the towns and attractions within them. Group tours are also available.
